Turlee Station is a working sheep and wheat station and has been in the Wakefield family since 1973. The Wakefield family has operated sheep stations in the local area since 1904.


In 1981 the Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area was named, with Turlee Station being listed in the region. Willandra Lakes joined Kakadu National Park and The Great Barrier Reef as the first of the World Heritage listed sites in Australia.

Turlee Station Stay farmstay is a short drive from the entrance to Mungo National Park NSW (approx. 32 km). Activities include Tag-along tours, sheep shearing and sheep dog working demonstrations, bird watching, bush walking, excellent photographic and artistic opportunities, organised bow and hunting availability and much more.
